Online Training Modules

Welcome to the training module for NFS health and safety online courses. These session are available on line so you can complete whenever is best for you. Some of these sessions are mandatory.

  • L4 Health and Safety Module Catchup

    This session is for all L4 Doc students that missed the original session. You must watch the whole lesson / video to be recorded as completing this session.

    Completion is mandatory before you can shoot.

  • L6 Health and Safety Module Catchup

    Before L6 students can engage in filming projects, you must ensure you have completed this HS module.

    Students that didn’t make it to the face to face session will need to complete this session. You must watch the whole video to be recorded as completing the session.

    This course is mandatory for all students engaged with filming.

  • XF Health and Safety Module Catchup

    This session is for all 2nd year XF students that missed the original session. You must watch the whole lesson / video to be recorded as completing this session.

    Completion is mandatory before you can shoot.

  • Manual Handling

    This is a mandatory course for all students (3rd year) before you begin your major projects.

    This course is about 20 minutes and has a pass mark. Please click the button below to register and begin.

  • Ladder Training

    If you are using ladders for whatever reason, including access/egress, set dressing, cinne action etc. it is important that you know the correct methods to both use and inspect ladders.

    Please complete this course, if you are using ladders. FS will not allocate any ladders to a film / project if ladder training has not been completed.

  • Banksman Training

    This is an essential course for anyone supporting vehicles move on set, including reversing or similar. A banksman must be used to help reverse or manoeuvre a van or vehicle.

    This course will take around an hour to complete. It is in sections, so you can leave and return if you are not able to complete in one sitting.
